Switching to Pulse Phone from lb-phone, qb-phone, NPWD or gcphone

You can move your FiveM server to Pulse Phone without your players losing their phone numbers, and without editing the scripts that send them mail, messages and alerts.

Your players keep their data

Pulse Phone reads the old phone's tables and copies what it can. It changes and deletes nothing in them, and you can run it as often as you like: a second run only adds what is new.

Old phone What comes across
lb-phone (a compatible phone_* database) Nearly everything: numbers, contacts, calls, chats, photos, notes, mail, wallet, social apps and more
qb-phone Numbers, contacts, chats, photos, mail, tweets
NPWD Numbers, contacts, calls, chats, photos, notes, marketplace, Twitter
YSeries Numbers, contacts, blocked numbers, calls, chats, photos and albums, notes, mail, bank transfers, ads, voice memos
Quasar Smartphone (current, qs_phone_* tables) Numbers, contacts, blocked numbers, calls, chats, photos, notes, mail, wallet, classified ads, dark chat, dating, alarms, backups
Quasar Smartphone PRO Numbers, contacts, blocked numbers, chats, photos, mail, classified ads, backups
gcphone Numbers, contacts, calls, text messages
GKS Phone, RoadPhone Numbers

Every player keeps their phone number: their Pulse Phone is keyed by the same framework identifier the old phone used (citizenid on QBCore and Qbox, the ESX identifier, or a licence).

The scripts you already run keep working

Scripts that reach the phone through events keep working without edits. Pulse Phone answers, among others:

  • lb-phone:getPhoneNumber, lb-phone:sendMail, lb-phone:sendMessage, lb-phone:notification
  • qb-phone:server:GetPhoneNumber, qb-phone:server:sendNewMail, qb-phone:server:sendNewMessage, qb-phone:server:sendNotification
  • npwd:getPhoneNumber, npwd:sendMail, npwd:sendMessage, npwd:notification

How to switch

  1. Back up your database.
  2. Stop the old phone and ensure phone in its place.
  3. Start the server. Pulse Phone creates its own tables. An old table that uses one of its table names is renamed to old_phone_<name>, never deleted.
  4. Run phoneimport --dry-run in the server console. It finds the old phone by itself, counts what it would copy, and writes nothing.
  5. Run the import, check it in game, and keep the old tables until you are sure.

Every step, with the details for each phone, is in Importing data.
